Women Cell

The women cell of the college views itself as a facilitator for young women, helping them not only to realize their full potential but also to exercise their active influence on society so as to bring about its transformation. The cell aims at shaping and nurturing the young women into responsible, mature, sensitive, and balanced individuals of tomorrow. The cell organizes various programs on issues like health and hygiene, gender sensitization, women’s rights, entrepreneurship opportunities, legal rights, self-defense, and various other issues so as to sensitize the students, both boys and girls, towards becoming better citizens.

Objectives

● To provide a platform to young women towards their thoughts and experiences.
● To build a gender-sensitive campus.
● To provide personal guidance and legal awareness on specific issues concerning women
● To highlight the importance of health and hygiene by organizing workshops and talks, focusing on related themes.
● To nurture creativity and courage in students to face all the challenges of life
● To train young women to be good citizen and leaders in all works of life
● To create social awareness about the problem of women, in particular gender discrimination.

The cell seeks to empower the young women by engaging them in various activities like organizing camps, workshops, extension lectures, poster making, slogan writing, and other competitions. These activities are designed to help them showcase their talents, boost their confidence and identify their strengths areas.
