Located in an arid region B L J S justifies its tagline Oasis in Desert.   From the time of its establishment, the college has fought a long and arduous battle against Nature and great scarcity of water resources to bloom into an Oasis where lush green lawns adorn it and more than 3000 trees and plants swing and sway to crown its beauty. Apart from the routine teaching and learning processes, the college is a hub of a large number of student-centric activities opening a large vista of opportunities to widen their mental, social and imaginative as well as ethical potentials. In extreme poverty conditions, the native villagers of the college find neither time nor money to send their wards for higher education studies. The area was extremely backward, educationally speaking before a great local philanthropist Seth Sh. Banwari Lal Jindal Suiwala had the vision to repay the debts of the land he was born in. Thus a dream was born – the dream of bestowing the land of his birth with a center of higher learning. This is how BLJS College, Tosham came into existence in 1995.BLJS College Tosham is one of the premier colleges of the state of Haryana. The college was established by The BLJS Educational Trust in 1995 with the vision to impart Quality HigherEducation to the students especially girls of this rural backward area. The main objective of the college is to contribute to the transformation of prevailing social and economic conditions so that values enshrined in the constitution of India: social justice, equality of opportunity, democratic freedom to all, tolerance and respect to all religions, etc. may be brought closer to realization, with special emphasis on Haryana. Our College is aware that the dimensions and quality of education keep on changing with time and quality cannot be assessed by a single yardstick and perhaps it can be monitored through the change in   National and   Global trends in Teaching,   Learning,   Research, and   EducationalInnovations. It is important for any center of Higher Education to know that the true service lies in imparting quality education, inculcating moral values, and motivating young minds towards education, research, and other academic activities for the future of the region, country, and the entire world
